It's not too long ago that in most of the Western world the bidet was viewed with suspicion: especially men didn't know what to do when they encountered one during an away-from-home toilet visit. Yet the bidet is ancient, very ancient: although they are admittedly rare, every now and then an antique bidet or vintage bidet can be found on eBay. Usually, these antique bidets are cherished collectors items of a strange and haunting beauty.
